52 Week Goal Challenges
"Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it."
- Mark Twain
To complete this week's challenge, you must make restitution with at least one person that you have wronged, or fought with in the past.
Let's be honest Christmas is a Holiday centered around Christ, and it doesn't matter if you believe he was a prophet, the son of god, or nothing more than a good story.
What Jesus represents is the epitome of love and forgiveness.
So why would we want to celebrate a holiday centered around something so substantial with weight on our shoulders?
The truth is that time is linear and it never stops so the longer we wait the more time we waist
If coming close to death taught me anything, life is too short to spend with a chip on your shoulder.
Now you might be thinking, but Levi, I don't have any broken or tattered relationships.
If not, that's awesome, but I guarantee if we think hard enough we can think of something we have done that was unfair or mean to someone we loved in the past, or we are holding on to resentment from someone has said or done to us in the past that we aren't willing to forgive.
And if you have neither of those then thou art a blessed being among those of us who aren't in denial
It's human to hold a grudge, but what makes us humane is the ability to let one go.
And I guarantee that if you do, you will feel a weight lifted off your shoulders and will experience freedom and joy like none other.
I found a great article by Berkley education that addresses the scientific benefits of forgiveness in detail, and I have linked the article on the week 51 page on my website which can be accessed by clicking on the link in my bio and selecting the latest 52-week goal challenge tab or clicking on the link in the youtube video description
