52 Week Goal Challenge
“Gratitude is a powerful catalyst for happiness. It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in your soul.”
– Amy Collette
To complete this week’s challenge, you must give a genuine heartfelt thank you to someone different every day.
It doesn’t have to be in the moment either if you would like to write to someone and thank them for being awesome and helping you in the past, then that works too.
You just gotta make sure it is a positive thank you know not a “thanks for never being there for me” or “thank you for proving that evolution can go backward and making me always feel smart when we hang out” or “thank you for saving my a life of obesity by eating all the food before I could get to it, you’re a real pal.” Yeah, that’s not going to boost anyone's day, including you ya jerk!
I found an excellent article by Mindvalley Academy that lists 7 scientifically proven benefits of gratitude. Gratitude opens the door to more relationships. Gratitude improves physical and psychological health. Gratitude enhances empathy and reduces regression. Grateful people sleep better. Gratitude increases self-esteem and strengthens mental health. For a detailed explanation of these benefits, click the tab below.
Obviously, being grateful has multitudes of benefits not only for yourself but for those around you. People will find you a kinder and impressionable person to be around if you are grateful, and your relationships will benefit immensely from it.
It’s a lot easier to find fault and be angry, but if you can change your focus to things to be grateful for, I promise you the benefits far outweigh the struggle of making this a new habit.
I am super excited to see how this week goes for you, and we would love to hear about it whether or not you notice a positive change in your attitude after giving thanks and if you feel your mood is lightened, whatever it is, feel free to let us know by [posting in the 52 week goal challenge Facebook group and if you don’t have Facebook by commenting on the You-tube or Instagram video.
