52 Week Goal Challenge

So to complete this week’s challenge you must do at least one thing everyday that is completely for your own well being to allow yourself a chance to de-stress. Whether that be a warm bath, reading a book, going to the gym, going to the shooting range or even cooking yourself a juicy steak and letting the rest of your family fend for themselves. Hey that’s not selfish, how else are they going to learn to cook and feed themselves.
So many of us, myself included fill our schedules to the brims with work and business and we pack it so jammed tight that we forget to take time out of our day for us. This week is about making yourself a priority and taking that time to give yourself the mental recharge and distress that we desperately need in order to function.
You shouldn’t feel guilty for wanting to take time for yourself and if you do then think about this instead; Spending time for yourself is time well spent because it makes you a happier person to be around. Spending time for yourself benefits everyone because by having a happier and healthier mindset, you're in a better frame of mind to take care of the people who are important to you. Spending time for yourself is preventative medicine to combat burnout. What good will you be to anyone if you eventually burnout?
This week is all about understand that it is selfless to be selfish I know that is an oxymoron but it’s true. How can you give to others what you don’t have to give? If you are burned out depressed and stressed then you will not be the person that those you are bending over backwards for need you to be. Take time for yourself so you can give time to others. Your mental health and physical health will thank you for it.
